Blue or Pink

16 weeks! BTW, I didn't wear those shoes to church. I had some low heels on but they came off ASAP. I now regret buying almost all my heels at 4 or 5 inches high. It's getting harder and harder- I've been mega dizzy. And I'm already uncomfortable enough without having to add on my feet yelling at me.

Since I got pregnant I've had awful lower back pain, abdominal pains and cramps, and muscle cramps. It basically feels like I'm on a really bad period. Anyway, misses doc wants to make sure everything is okay so we get an ultrasound this week! YAY! That's the exciting part. (I'm sure everything is fine- I'm just destined to have a tough pregnancy) It's the first time our baby will look like a baby! The last time I had an ultrasound is when I went into the ER and the baby looked like a little kidney bean with stumpy appendages and they didn't let Clint in the room. It may even be late enough to tell if we're gettin a lil buddy or a lil sweetheart! We're excited to see our baby either way!

That brings me to my next point! One of the first things people ask when they find out you're pregnant (have you tried ginger?) is if we want a boy or a girl. Most people are shocked that I actually have an answer! It makes me feel a teensy bit bad for half a second and then I get over it.
My answer: girl!
People automatically think I'll be disappointed if it's a boy. I won't AT ALL I've just always wanted a little girl for my oldest since I was a little girl. If the rest were boys that'd be totally fine with me! Boys and girls are exciting in different ways. I just want to experience the girl stuff first. But there are more than a million reasons to be excited for a boy and I will be equally as happy! Ultimately, I want a healthy baby and I want it HERE already. This gestational stuff isn't workin out so well.

By the way, at our appointment today the doctor could hardly get a heartbeat because our lil muchkin was moving so darn much! He/she is gonna be an active one!

I'm still down 4 pounds from my starting weight. Which is better than 10! Being encouraged to eat would be super awesome if I had an appetite. Can't win em all, eh? And despite my weight loss my belly is measuring just right! So hopefully that means everything with baby is growing and developing just right too!

So do you have any predictions for us? Girl or boy?

WE, WE SO EXCITED!

I love your outfit!!! And why the heck wouldn't they let Clint in the room?! What the rude. And I think...girl :) Bows and frills and flowers and lace. Yes yes yes. But boys are exciting, too. I guess we will see :)

I'm saying girl because there was a whole slew of my friends having boys and now it seems to swinging back the other direction, and also because maybe if we guess girl enough then that's what you'll get ;)

That's so weird that Clint wasn't allowed in! I took Andrew with me to all of the appointments (well, except this last one comin up cuz he has to work)! I'm guessing girl so we can be twinners ;)

Good luck!

One of the things I've learned since being pregnant is that weight doesn't matter. (Not that anyone should TRY to lose weight during pregnancy)..but everyone is different :)

I'm excited for the big reveal! (Unless you're not telling of course, and then I'm still excited for the birth to find out..) Haha! My guess is girl!

Boy, lol, congratulations

For everyone asking, Clint couldn't go into the ultrasound room at the ER, not at a doctors appointment. That's just the protocol at the hospital. Plus the room is teeny tiny.

Thanks for all the guesses!!!

Hmmmmm... I'm going with girl, under the assumption that you are experiencing that famous "mother's intuition." If not, our boys can be BEST FRIENDS. And let me tell you, I was skeptical at first, but itty bitty baby boy clothes are to die for. Seriously, so cute. I'm probably meant to be the mom of boys though, because no matter how cute those head bow things are, I probably wouldn't ever have the patience to fuss with them.

If you have a boy, just dress him up like a girl like my sisters and I did to our two brothers. They weren't even that traumatized by it!

I am on a roll with guessing the sex of my friends babies and with you the minute I saw you were pregnant I thought it is a girl! Hope I am right again! Congrats!
