It's Wednesday, wednesday, wednesay

which makes it even more of a let down when I [I'm writing this Tuesday night] kept thinking it was Thursday all day. We all know what comes after Thursday. It is my all time favorite.

[so you're not totally lost, make sure you read yesterday's short post first]
First item of business. I noticed a drastic decline in comments yesterday. Perhaps our 2nd grade bathroom humor didn't entertain you? It's okay. You don't have to feel awkward. When you get married, your 2nd grade sense of humor is somehow restored. Husbands tend to do that. [you were right emma]
Kudos to Courtney and her husband who like to utilize this app while walking around Walmart.
For Libby, the app should completely override Mustache March. Don't pass it by your husband, tell him.
Basically, you should go back and read yesterday's comments cuz ya'll are funny!

Today I want to talk about The Help again.

Don't worry, this won't give the movie away. I just wanted to talk about an aspect really quick.
So Abilene [spelling?] tells one of the kids she watches [forgot her name] that she is kind, smart, and important.
"you is kind. you is smart. you is important."
If you think about it the same way I do you see that one of these things is not like the other. Being smart and important...well those are both obvious reflections on us and our worth. But kind? How is knowing that you're kind help you feel better after being beat? Does treating others kindly make you special...make you worth so much more? I say a big YES. I think it's the most important. Still, I think it's so interesting that along with being important and smart, she used to word kind to help baby girl cheer up. Personally, I you can leave out the smart and important for me, I much rather be kind.
What do you think?

love this! love your second grade sense of humor. Love your cute stories. Love your commentary...I read The Help and loved it. I'm a bit nervous about the movie. I would hate for them to butcher the story and ruin the book. Was it any good?

oh, and the spelling is Aibileen :D

I want to see that movie SO BAD. everyone is talking about how cute it is and I want to see it. I like your analysis on it too. It is very important to be kind to others I think. More important than a lot of worldly achievements. All that will matter in the end is how we treated those around us.

I feel a lot better about myself when I know I'm important. When people tell me that I matter, I feel more motivation to be better. The same thing goes for being smart. But you're right, interesting way she worded it.

I felt so bad for Mae Mobley, and was so happy she had Aibleen for a role model..well I guess in the book she was a maid, but still! That show/book was amazing. And yes, I think all three are great things to know about yourself, and it is so important to be kind!

I still haven't see "The Help." I kind of want to read the book, first. I hear that it is amazing.

Also. Keep the fart jokes coming. You're not (fake)farting on deaf ears.

I would much rather be kind too. :] And I NEED to see this movie!

Oh, and exactly what is that farting app called? I looked up farting apps but I couldn't figure out which one it was. Hahaha. I NEED to get it for the husband man! And seriously, getting married makes all those funny things that we got "too mature" for when going to college funny all over again!

I wholeheartedly agree that being married automatically makes someone more susceptible to little boy humor. What's with that?

amen, sista! I think a lot of people are "nice" but not too many people are "kind" true kindness is so much more than just actions. It encompasses so much more than just what we say to people. Being nice is more action focused while being kind is who we are.
