I got my first blog award. My lovely friend, Roxanne, thinks I am a versitile blogger. Isn't that sweet? Okay, here's the deal. I will answer the following questions, then pass the award along to seven other bloggers. If you recieve the award, you link back to the person who gave you the award (that would be me and please note: my URL changed!) , and then pass it along to seven others. Can I change the award? No? Too bad. I change the award to "blogs I like". Versitle is a weird word. Moving on.
The ten questions:
1. Why did you create your blog?
I've always been the type of person that needed creative outlets. I created a blog for that purpose, and to keep my family up to date, even though that goal has not continued. I don't really blog much any more about my life's "current events" but more my thoughts and feelings. Also, the specifics are a teeny personal, but I've recieved some pretty wise counsel that I need to share my experiences in life with others and through doing that it will bless me, and I can bless the lives of others. It has since become an incredible support system. But mostly, I do it because it's fun and I like it. Simple and true.
2. What kind of blogs do you follow?
This is a funny questions because I was, no joke, just thinking about this. When I started out I followed "pretty" blogs and didn't do much but look at the pictures. You know, photography, crafts, fashion blogs. But now, I read blogs that really talk about life. I think it's amazing we can put our life lessons up online and others can learn from them too. We can see that we aren't alone in our struggles. So, I guess I follow blogs that inspire, teach, and uplift. Am I too cheesy? Check out Amy's blog to see what I mean.
3. Favorite brand of make-up?
Ew. I hate make up. If it wasn't socially unacceptable, I wouldn't wear make up. I think Clint has seen me more without make up than with it. On a good day, I wear mascara and some transluecent foundation. Honestly, I don't even know what brand either of them are.
4. Favorite brand of clothing?
This is tough. If it was my choice, I'd basically wear nothing but anthropologie. BUT, seeing as how I could sell a kidney and still not have enough to pay for an outfit there, I only own exactly one shirt that I got on clearance for $9.99. Mostly, I wear "no name" brands from Marshalls and TJ max. I've also been into vintage lately. Goodwill is bomb. Most of my clothes are gifted though.
5. Indispensable make-up product?
They're all dispensable. Let's dispense them all right now. If we all stop, it can't be socially unacceptable right? If I had to choose one thing, it would probably be mascara. Seeing as how I'm a blonde, putting some color on those eyelashes makes a big difference.
6. Favorite color?
Yellow. I'm pretty sure it always will be. It's such a fun, happy, color.
7. Favorite perfume?
I don't ever wear any. I've smelled some stuff from Victoria's Secret that smells pretty good though!
8. Favorite movie?
License to Wed, Itallian Job, Little Mermaid. Jack of all trades? I have a billion. I'm not very picky. I'm easily entertained.
9. What country would you like to visit and why?
Italy! I'm not exactly sure why but I have been fascinated with that country for as long as I can remember! I think it looks beautiful and romantic and adventurous! Please Clint, take me there someday!
10. Would you rather forget to put mascara on one eye or forget blush on one side of your face?
I think blush would be less noticeable. I've shaved only one leg and worn a skirt before. Let's just say I avoided sunlight that day. Please tell me I'm not the only one.
