Life is awesome.

Remember how I told you close to a billion people told me things like "as soon as that baby is out you're gonna be wishing you were pregnant again" or "if you think it's a lot of work NOW, wait until she's born!"
Well, I'm here to tell you they were all wrong. Having a newborn is the greatest thing in the whole world. My new job of "mommy" is the absolute best. After you have a baby, it's almost like you're on a high from happiness. It's a good thing too because you need something to cope with all that sleep deprivation, can I get an amen moms?!
We could not be happier with our Ainsley girl. Even though I don't get to bed most nights until about 2 or 3 am and haven't slept more than two hours at a time since she's been born, I love where we're at in life. I'm trying to soak up every second of her snuggles and that ever famous newborn smell. Losing sleep is tough, but when I think about how before I know it she will be going off to school, it helps me to embrace all those middle of the night feedings.
I guess what I'm saying is yes, it has been tough. But it had also been more incredible than I could have imagined. I love being a mom. I feel so blessed to have such a sweet little girl.

And for your viewing pleasure, of course I have to leave you with some pictures! :)

p.s. thanks for all your sweet congratulations!!!!!

People always told me to nap when P did. I thought they were crazy because it was the only time to get stuff done. Lemme tell ya, it's waaaayyy more important to sleep then get stuff done! Especially if you're only getting two hrs at night here and there

Oh I am so happy for you! I remember being so emotional those first few days after having Brody (I definitely had a little bit of the "baby blues" as they say) so that's awesome it has been so great for you!
