Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

I somewhat disagree with the above statement. I think spending time together makes the heart grow fonder but, whatever. No one asked me. No one asked me what the speed MINIMUM should be on the freeway either. That's another story for another day.
[the answer is 55]
[but really, how slow is too slow? when can you honk?]

Anyway.
How have all you been? It's been awhile. I missed you. My life has been awesome. Filled with study sessions, cooking new delicious things, late night tickle fights, and ridiculous conversations.
I'm the master of ridiuclous conversations.
Here's an example from today.
Over IM:

Me: I want black babies.
Clint: What?!
Me: I do. They're so cute!
Clint: Sorry babe. I can't give you those.
Me: Crying face emoticon
Clint: You could have married a black man. They like you.

It's true. The chocolate men have a thing for me. I can't help that I was blessed with a muchtoolargeformyrace badonkadonk.

[sidenote: I am not racist! I love people of all colors! Be my friend?]

Anyway. I was going to talk about something meaningful today, and now I just can't seem to remember.
I just realized I have pictures of the things listed above.
Here we go!

1) Study sessions:

Seeing him with a ring on still makes me smile.
This is about how our nights go. Every night. Party in the USA!

[I don't care how lame that song is, I love it. It's an instant good mood song]

2) Cooking new delicious things:
Sweet potato chili with avocado :) yum!
Mashed potato casserole loaded with veggies and extra lean beef
[recipes to come!]
I got everything in this picture for $7! A pound of strawberries ($.50), 4 kiwis ($.25/each), Avocados, Graprfuit, acorn squash, roma tomatoes ($.25/lb), english stle cucumber, green apples, two yellow bell peppers ($.25/each), cilantro, 2 zucchini, 3 ears of corn.
Basically, I was in heaven. If you haven't been to your local farmer's market, GO! The best one in mesa is off main and higley!

Sigh. I love food.
Don't worry honey, you're a close second.

We so cute!
[Maybe you should start praying now for the sake of our future children]

p.s. scroll down for our costume reveal!

This post made me smile. And I know what you mean about that feeling you get when you see a ring on your man's finger. We've been married a year and I still feel very happy (sigh) when I see my man's left hand!
Cute blog.

All I ever want in life is black babies. But I have no butt. None. And I am so proud of you for studying. I do not get enough of that done.

Ahhhh I totally agree with you about the whole absence making the heart grow fonder. People would always say that ... and I'd be like maybe FOR YOU ... but I like being with my man! Ha

I ask my husband for a black baby on a weekly basis- we both have huge booties and he has huge lips so I think we have a chance...

He disagrees.

I cannot wait for those recipes- they look yummy:-)

I giggle through everything you ever post. Seriously. Aaaand, I totally want a black baby too. I keep asking my roommate if we can adopt one. She says yes, but we're not sure who gets it once one of us gets married...

Umm... YUM! Why can't I come to your house for dinner? Oh yeah... because we haven't moved to AZ :(
And let me tell you just how many times Eric and I had the black baby conversation when we were first married. Eric was a little shocked when I told him I couldn't produce black ;) Don't be surprised when you meet our black child someday though.. adoption is a wonderful thing! And I'm not even kidding when I say that :)

Haha, omg,
I literally laughed out loud at your "toolardformyracebadonkadonk"
I am with you on that one, I seriously wonder how I got that thing, and it really does attract chocolate men.
You my friend,
are hil-freaking-larious.

Dude...I feel you on the muchtoolargeformyrace badonkadonk. I have a huge A. A couple months ago I made the mistake of purchasing cheetah print pants and those black men haven't stopped heehawing over my rear end since. It's a curse and a blessing. Good thing black guys are hott!

Thanks for the comments on my bloggie. You are so sweet, and your blog is adorable
