Ocho

Ainsley is EIGHT months.
Actually, that's old news.
She's been eight months for 13 days, I'm just now getting around to documenting it.
But let me tell you, she is the cutest little thing.
She is such a fun, energetic baby. Yes, she's still a terrible sleeper, but other than that she's pretty dang good! She is getting so much personality. When you look at her and tilt your head, she copies you. She laughs a lot more now. She makes lots of funny faces and sounds. She scrunches her nose like her momma. She is still the happiest when she's around other kids.
She is fully mobile. She's a pretty quick crawler, although most of the time she's pretty lazy about it. If she wants me and I walk away from her, she usually won't follow me. She just whines and puts her arms up. If there's something she's really set on reaching though, watch out!
She has been pulling herself to standing for several weeks now. She even walks along the furniture if there's something she wants. All this mobility has made unpacking really hard!
She is totally not a picky eater. She will eat just about anything we put in front of her. If she doesn't like it, she just eats less. I feed her purees and off my plate. She eats anything off my plate now as long as its not spicy or too crunchy. The other day we tried pluots at the farmer's market and it was so funny! She could not get enough!
(someday I'll learn to remove shadows)
She has recently been protesting naps. Several times I've had to let her just cry because she won't let me help her go to sleep. Most of the time she never ends up falling asleep, but a few times she fell asleep sitting up. It is equal parts hilarious and sad.
We don't know exactly how much she weighs, but we know its well over 20 pounds. She has already outgrown some of her 12-18 month shorts (it's that darn belly!), but most 6-12 month onsies still fit her. She has almost outgrown size 3 diapers, but we're trying to use up the ones we have before switching her!

She loves living in California! We've spent so much time outside and she loves being out. She is still such a talker. She babbles and squeals all day and I absolutely love it. I can't wait til she learns to talk. I have a feeling she might never stop!

She is learning so much every day and it's so much fun to see. She is growing much too quickly, but I love being able to be there every step of the way. Every new stage is the new best! I love my little girl.
