SEVEN MONTHS!

My little girl is SEVEN months.
When most people talk about their kids growing up, they talk about how sad it is. I'm a little sad it goes so quickly, but watching her grow and change is the most fun part of being a mom! I love my girl.
(Check out that bicep. At least one of us has been hitting the gym)

A little bit about Ainsley at seven months:

She is scooting around really well. The difference in taking her six month pictures to her seven month pictures is the biggest difference I've seen so far! She was so mobile! It was hard to get good shots of her because she kept wanting to grab the camera or crawl around. I have a feeling it's only going to get more and more challenging!

She LOVES food. We've been doing purees with some baby led weaning for about a month now. She's done okay with purees, but now she doesn't seem to like them at all. She just wants whatever everyone else is eating. When she knows I'm prepping food or eating she whines until I give her some. Some of her favorites have been tomatoes (probably her favorite), cucumber, avocado, green beans, and black beans. Typically after I give her food she smiles. It's adorable. She's even gotten good at biting stuff off and chewing it up a little.

She officially has TWO teeth.

We weighed her a few weeks ago and she was 20 pounds so she's somewhere above that now. Some of her 12 month clothes are starting to get a little snug.

She's still the most social little baby. She loves attention, especially when it comes from strangers.

She has finally started to show a preference to me! Every once in awhile while someone else is holding her she will whine and turn towards me until I hold her. Not going to lie, I love it most of the time.

She was doing pretty well with sleeping (only waking up about twice a night) and then we went on our trip to San Jose and it completely messed her up.

I feel like she has so much personality. I have spent more time around babies than the average person, but you still just sort of assume whatever your baby does is normal. Well, when I started nannying for another baby just younger than Ainsley, I realized how different Ainsley was! Ainsley is SO busy! It's like she's on hyper drive almost all the time. She's grabbing everying and pulling and squirming and kicking and swatting and babbling and...it's hard to explain other than she's so busy.
(I've always been in love with her chubby toes)

Lately she pulls a blanket over her face and pants and kicks her legs and moves her arms until we take it off and she thinks it's the funniest thing.

She still loves to nurse and is a little champ. I'm grateful that she still hasn't bit me with those two chompers yet. When she wants to eat she pants and flaps her arms and opens her mouth and turns towards me. It's pretty adorable and funny with a twinge of awkward, ha!

With her new mobility she's gotten a few bumps lately. She usually only cries for a few seconds and then goes back to playing. She seems like a pretty tough baby.

I love my Ainsley baby. She is more and more fun every day. Oh, and a little bit of work. ;)

p.s. I'm always a little self concious to post photos. I feel like most bloggers are really good photographers and...I'm not. I just do my best at trying to preserve her cuteness. So thanks for being patient with my amature photos :)

loooove her! sounds like her and P will have similar personalities (minus the food situation, she still needs to teach him) and her being tough is a good thing!! hopefully that'll stay true with teething!

Aw, what a sweetheart! I love your photos and think they totally capture who she is at this stage. I really love the one where she's looking up on the blanket! I love that her hair has a little red in it! :)

Her chunky little toes... DYING!
I washed all of Mia's 6-9 month clothes yesterday because I'm determined to have her wear the summer clothes in that size at least once before summer ends! Mia is just a peanut! And our girls sound so similar with their personalities! I wish we lived close (I would totally move to northern Cali. I actually mentioned it the other day and Eric told me no. Lame!) so that they could play (and we could eat all sorts of junk besides chocolate frosting, gross, and... stuff) while our babies destroyed the house, ha!
She is SO CUTE! And your pictures are so good!
