We like to move it move it!

Over the summer, Clint and I watched a lot of movies.
Probably more than we've seen in our entire two years together.
Today I'm going to give you my two cents on some of the latest and greatest movies other there. Tell me what you think as well. This will be fun. Also, I promise not to give anything about the movie away.

Obviously, Batman- Dark Knight Rises would be first since it was basically the biggest movie of the last decade. I love superhero movies. I think I'm still 5 years old inside, but the magic of super powers and heros is pretty cool to me. For the most part, I really liked it. The story line was great. However, it was way too violent for me. Granted I'm more sensitive than most to violence, but my violence tolerance was exceeded probably within the first half of the movie.

I really felt like this was the best spiderman movie made. I really liked it. I liked the actors better. I felt like it was really well put together. Really really liked it!

Moonrise Kingdom. You know how Napoleon Dynamite is really random but it's pretty funny and has a lot of personality? This has the random factor, but that's about it. It's a weird, weird movie. There were a few funny parts, but I don't think it was enough to make the whole movie worth it. However, I did really like the cinematography (that's a word right?), very similar to 500 Days of Summer.

Bourne Legacy. I really really liked this one. I like all the Bourne movies. A lot of people were upset that it wasn't Matt Damon (not gonna lie, he's a hottie), but it didn't really make a difference to me. It was full of action, lots of suspense, and SMART. I really like smart movies. Get that noodle workin'

Premium Rush. This might have been my favorite one we watched. I don't know why exactly, but I really liked it. It was super suspenseful but not in the ohmygoshi'mgoingtocrywe'reallgonnadie kind of way. Ya dig? The bad guy in this movie was REALLY bad, which bothered me, but I liked the ending. For being about a biker transporting a package, I didn't think it would have a good story line. I was very wrong!

Bernie. This one was pretty good. Even the storyline is just insane. Don't worry, I will still tell you less than the preview will! But it's about this funeral director in a small town who everyone loves and is hardcore Christian. A relationship forms with a lady from the small town who suddenly goes missing. Bernie is suspected for the murder. I love Jack Black. It was funny, but not as haha funny as you usually expect from Jack Black. It was super interesting. It probably won't have you on the edge of your seat, but me and my husband found it pretty entertaining.

Lockout. This storyline was really interesting too and the husband and I were both looking forward to seeing it. It's about a prison in space where they keep all the EXTRA crazy criminals. Basically, the president's daughter goes to visit, things go haywire, she's stuck with them. It's a REALLY good idea for a movie, but it fell short of its potential. It was pretty cheesy. I would still say it's worth seeing though.

I know this wasn't the most exciting movie review but what did you guys think?! Did you see any of these? Were there any I missed? I'd love suggestions. With my increasingly fatigued body, movies are always a good idea.

hope you guys are doing good! :)

Thanks for the reviews! I haven't seen any lately so I know which ones we should go for in Redbox and theaters now. :) Have fun at the blogger dinner! Wish I could go! P.S. Your bump is adorable!

I couldn't even bring myself to watch Batman because the commercials made it look so dark. But. I'm sure it has its redeeming qualities :) And I really want to see Spiderman! Everyone keeps talking about how awesome it is. We finally saw Avengers and LOVED it. And Hunger Games, of course. And...that's all I can think of for now. But if you haven't already, you should watch the tv show Once Upon a Time...it's on Netflix now!

I've only seen the first three on your list, and we're pretty much on the same page. Especially on Spiderman. I loved it WAY more than the other ones with crazy eyes-mcguire. I really did love Moonrise Kingdom, though. It is weird and strange, and for some reason it was perfect for me. Haha.

Also. I have been privately stalking your blog during my blogging hiatus. What I still can't understand is how you look so good. Seriously. I would be in sweats, hiding under the covers all the time if I was a pregnant sickie. Instead, you're just rocking the bump. Share your secrets!

I still owe you a crock pot recipe. Here goes:

Taco Soup (adapted from a Paula Deen recipe)

2 lbs. ground beef
2 cups diced onions
2 cans pinto beans
1 can black beans
1 can corn
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can diced green chilis
1 package taco seasoning mix
1 pkg. ranch salad dressing mix

corn chips, sour cream, grated cheese (for when it's done).

brown beef in large skillet.

throw all other ingredients in the crock pot and cook on low for 6-8 hours.

enjoy!
